Scorecards & Performance Measurement

Robert S Kaplan & David P Norton packaged the concept of Balanced Scorecards for businesses and organisations. The approach recognises the need to look at more than simply the financials. It provides managers with the instrumentation they need to navigate to future competitive success. The EFQM’s Excellence Model provides a framework for these measures, too.

It is often difficult to strike the correct balance between too much measurement, resulting in bureaucracy and information overload, and too little, or wrongly targeted, measurement which can leave you blind to serious problems until it is too late. Catalyst’s approach looks to link the measures you need to the Business Excellence Model offering you "an executive dashboard" to highlight the essential information you need.
